ZapIQ acquires COSIE Homes ahead of Awaab's Law changes
ZapIQ, part of the ZapCarbon Group, has completed the acquisition of COSIE Homes from IoTSG alongside technology partner Updal — combining housing technology, environmental monitoring and home intelligence ahead of Phase 2 of Awaab's Law.
ZapCarbon Group has acquired COSIE Homes from IoTSG as the organisations combine housing technology, environmental monitoring and home intelligence capabilities.
The acquisition has been completed by ZapIQ, part of the ZapCarbon Group, alongside technology partner Updal.
COSIE Homes will continue as the customer-facing brand for IoTSG's existing activities, with customers retaining their current products, services, contacts and support.
Housing technology partnership targets safer homes
The organisations said the move will support housing providers as they respond to changing regulatory requirements and work to improve conditions for residents. The acquisition comes ahead of Phase 2 of Awaab's Law, which will introduce further requirements around how social landlords respond to hazards in residents' homes.

COSIE Homes customers to retain existing services
As part of the transition, COSIE Homes customers will continue to receive the same products, services and support, although branding across the website and communications will be updated.
